Yes, both houses had suits of armor. Apparently they are pretty popular things to have around here.
For our evening activity we had a talent show. This was no ordinary talent show, however. They split us into groups and assigned each group a talent. One group got interpretive dance, another a circus show, and another rapping. Somehow, I had the great fortune of being in the group that was assigned to do a Broadway show. Of all the talents they assigned, that probably comes closest to a real talent of mine. We did a little sketch that tied into the retreat's theme of self-esteem/body image. Me and two other girls were depressed about something regarding our appearance and were moping about it, when the other girl jumped in and gave us a pep-talk. She told us that we were princesses of the universe, that we needed to put our cares behind us and just sing in the rain (it had rained on us a bit that night), and then we broke out into "Singin' in the Rain," complete with a little Broadway-style dance that we choreographed in about 5 minutes. Great fun!
